Who we are & what we do:
The Boston Spa Men's Forum is a friendly, informal organisation for men from Boston Spa and the surrounding area. We meet at Deepdale on Wednesday mornings to chat with friends and neighbours, to have a tea or coffee and then listen to the week's talk from an invited guest speaker.
The topics cover a wide range of interests and are often accompanied with a slide show. In the last few months we have seen fascinating glimpses of Antartica; The origins of place names; The Moon, Stars & 4 Clocks; WW2 - Barnbow; Confessions of a Rugby Referee; The World of Andrew Llloyd Webber and The Yorkshire Film Archives.
An invitation: Come along as a guest
Guests and new members are always welcome to come to any of our weekly meetings. Why not call in and say hello to neighbours and new friends - share a smile and a joke - listen to one of our talks?
If you like the experience, then you are welcome to join us and become a member. There is a modest membership fee, equivalent to less than £1 per meeting - just enough to cover the expenses of the various presenters throughout the year.
Why not look in at our next meeting? You'll see a room full of smiles. Visitors are always welcome. You can find a full schedule of talks listed below:

Popular Fallacy # 1
It's just for local people: Sorry- that's not correct. Come along and you'll hear accents from Scotland, Lancashire, Kent, Devon, London as well as Yorkshire.
.....Everyone is welcome..... |
Popular Fallacy # 2
I'd feel out of place:
Our members include former gardeners, magistrates, carpenters, company directors, teachers and salesmen. In fact, it's almost impossible to guess what jobs most of our members did. I've tried - and you really can't guess.
.....Everyone is welcome..... |
| Popular Fallacy #3 You have to live in Boston Spa:
Wrong again! We've got members from Clifford, Bramham, Newton Kyme, Stutton, Wetherby and Collingham, as well as Boston Spa.
.....Everyone is welcome..... |
